Corpus was a small collaborative exhibition that was site specific, which responded to the historic building St. Mary’s Guildhall. The show was titled Corpus as it is the Latin word for body, and was the underlying theme of the show.

This work was created based upon observations of St. Mary's Guildhall situated in Lincoln. When entering the lower hall inside Guildhall, there is an overwhelming sense of unease, almost as if you feel like you're not alone. Overall the building has a very eerie and unsettling atmosphere. Historically Guildhall was once an Undertakers and is widely believed to be one of the most haunted buildings in Lincoln. Shell was created to represent a ghostly figure trapped within the walls of Guildhall. The natural light within the space cast almost transparent shadows, enhancing this ghostly experience.
