Hand of God

Plaster and books

The Hand of God is a sculptural piece of book art, with plaster fists punching through three books which was originally exhibited in Response as a site responsive piece. Each book in the piece represents a frame of time depicting the contortionist act of a hand punching through a book. The work could also be considered as symbolising power within religion, specifically God. This work then toured to Surface Gallery, and it was a collaborative exhibition.
